LA UNIÓN DE PRODUCTORES DE PIMENTÓN
In May 1937, the foundations were laid for the creation of the “Unión de Productores de Pimentón” cooperative, made up of small and medium-sized farmers, who grouped together to produce and sell high-quality paprika, ending the practice of purchasing at unfavorable prices. by exporters.
At first, it was called “Sindicato de Productores de Pimentón C.N.S.” and then it became the “Unión de Productores de Pimentón Cooperativa del Campo.”
The cooperative “Unión de Productores de Pimentón” was fundamental in the local economy by breaking the monopoly of exporters. In addition, it provided interest-free financing for agricultural investment, reduced-price fertilizers, and other valuable services.
Today, the “Unión de Productores de Pimentón” manages a large part of the production of “Pimentón de la Vera” Protected Designation of Origin. We offer a wide variety of formats and flavors, from cans to bags.
We process cans, bags and sacks in sweet, bittersweet and spicy varieties.
